Fatal Claw Ending Guide: Epilogue and Stone of Narrative

Continue after the first credits

This page contains ending and post-game spoilers for Fatal Claw 1.0.

The first credits are a progression checkpoint. Continue from the post-credit state to enter the epilogue and explore with Kisha's acquired abilities intact. The next job is to inspect what the changed timeline still needs, not to start the whole journey again.

  1. Finish the first ending and continue into the epilogue after the credits.
  2. Open the Stone of Narrative and note every unresolved ending objective.
  3. Complete compatible survivor, cure, archive, and route work.
  4. Recheck the Stone before returning to the final encounter.

This sequence prevents a common failure: repeating the finale while the post-credit state still has unresolved conditions.

Use the Stone of Narrative as the checklist

The Stone of Narrative is the clearest progress check for ending work. It records objective state that contributes to the assembled conclusion. When a segment is missing, start with an incomplete Stone node and trace it back to the related survivor, cure, archive, or route task.

Stone stateWhat to do nextReady signal
Several nodes remain unresolvedReturn to the related regions and active requestsThe linked objective changes state
Cure work is incompleteContinue the lab chain and required material handoffsThe cure objective advances
Route or archive work is incompleteRevisit unopened paths and unfinished recordsThe matching node is complete
All compatible targets are completeReturn to the finaleThe checklist matches the outcome you want

Some conditions are mutually exclusive. A long favorable conclusion comes from completing the compatible set for that route, not from assuming every possible state can appear in one ending.

The first credits and the route leading to them are covered in the first-ending progression guide. Use this page after that checkpoint to understand the entities and world states that assemble a later outcome.

Ending entities and world-state checks

The ending flow connects a tracker, Kisha's persistent save state, a restored traversal power, and survivor or cure objectives. Each profile below names the state that should change before another finale attempt.

Stone of Narrative

Ending Tracker

The Stone of Narrative is the central checklist for ending-related world states. An unresolved node points back to a survivor, cure, archive, or route objective that still needs a visible completion change.

Persistent State

Kisha continues in a playable epilogue after the first credits and keeps acquired abilities. This persistent state turns the credits into a checkpoint for cleanup instead of a forced restart.

James' Wings

Route Objective

Restored James' Wings let Kisha hover on air currents and reach later airborne objectives. Their completed movement state is a direct visual check when an ending-related route still appears inaccessible.

Infected Heroes and Cure Work

Survivor Objective

Late survivor and cure work includes infected-hero outcomes, lab research, and required material handoffs. These states should advance before the finale when their Stone nodes belong to the intended route.

Finish survivor, cure, and archive objectives

Post-credit progress is broader than one final boss. The verified route includes survivor work, timeline changes, cure research, archive checks, and new traversal objectives.

For the cure chain, return Jubilum sap to the lab and continue until the route calls for Massa's help. Treat each handoff as a checkpoint. If the next conversation or objective does not appear, check whether the required material was delivered and whether an earlier survivor step is still active.

James' Wings are another visible progress reward. After the required pieces are restored, the wings can be toggled to hover over air currents and move freely while airborne. That movement state can open later objectives that previously looked unreachable.

Archive and survivor outcomes should be cleared before a new finale attempt when their Stone nodes are part of the desired route. Completing them afterward can leave the previous ending assembly unchanged until the finale is reached again.

Follow the verified quest profiles for the difference between an active request, a returned item, and a visible world-state reward. For the restored movement behavior, the ability profile guide explains how to test James' Wings at an air current.

Protect the order of ending tasks

Use this order whenever you are unsure what the game expects:

  1. Reach the first credits and continue into the epilogue.
  2. Read the current Stone of Narrative state.
  3. Complete one unresolved compatible objective.
  4. Confirm that its node or related world state changed.
  5. Repeat until the intended checklist is ready.
  6. Return to the final encounter only then.

Avoid repeating the same final fight after an unchanged checklist. A different result needs a different recorded world state.

Check the route before repeating the finale

When the ending still looks incomplete, diagnose the missing state in this order:

SymptomCheckRecovery
Credits ended but no follow-up is obviousPost-credit continuation stateResume the save and enter the epilogue
A Stone node remains emptyRelated survivor, cure, archive, or route taskComplete the linked task and recheck the node
A later air-current route is blockedJames' Wings restorationFind the remaining pieces and toggle the wings on
Cure progress stopsMaterial handoff and lab conversationReturn Jubilum sap, then continue the Massa step
The same ending repeatsChecklist did not materially changeFinish a compatible unresolved objective before another finale

The Stone is the recovery tool. It turns an unclear ending problem into a specific unfinished task.

What the ending evidence can prove

The current 1.0 evidence confirms the playable epilogue, continued exploration after credits, Stone of Narrative objective tracking, survivor and cure work, James' Wings, and the existence of mutually exclusive ending conditions. It does not establish a complete frame-by-frame matrix for every possible branch combination.

Use the checklist sequence for a reliable route. When two desired conditions conflict, choose the outcome you value and complete only the compatible Stone path before the finale.

Named late encounters such as Sorron, Kurtz, Odz, Murant, and Saemo are indexed with their route roles and visual references in the complete boss guide. Check that roster before treating a missing outcome as a generic final-boss problem.
